Bring the entire family for a day of fitness demonstrations, healthy activities and information booths, a 5k run/walk, guest speakers, and a concert.

EXHIBITION BOOTH OPPORTUNITIES
Join us for a great opportunity to promote or sell your company's product or service. There are 50 (10x10) booths available at the Healthy Park, Healthy You Event. Each booth includes a table and two chairs.

So how can you help us change lives? Seattle Parks and Recreation offers endless opportunities to achieve those 30 minutes of moderate exercise-trails, playgrounds, gyms, pools, fitness classes, athletic fields, beaches-and the list goes on. We want you to join us and be part of the healthy solution.

Who will be there?  Last year exhibitors included companies that feature health and fitness, sports beverages, hospitals, bicycles, and more.

Booth Space Fee: For-profit vendors $100, and no fee for nonprofit vendors that engage the public in an activity that promotes a healthy community.

5K FUN RUN/WALK
Races are for the entire family and great for both runners and walkers.  Participants have a wonderful opportunity to experience Seward Park.

The park is located only five miles from the downtown urban core, occupies a 277-acre peninsula sculpted by glaciers and composed of a range of habitats that include forests, savannas, grasslands, and lakeshore. It features a remarkable stand of old-growth forest, two active bald eagle nests, and a wide array of flora and fauna.

Youth 12 and younger can run for free, but must be registered online, or in person by a parent or guardian. Price includes a T-shirt, a goodie bag, a finisher certificate and entry to the concert.

NOTE: $5 of your registration fee goes to support Seattle Parks and Recreation youth sports.

Race FAQ
How long is the race?  The 5K race is 5 kilometers, which is 3.1 miles.

How do I register?  There are three ways to register for the Fun Run.

Youth 12 and younger can run for free, but must be registered online, or in person by a parent or guardian.

Entry fees on or before August 15: $15
Entry Fee on day fo race, August 20: $20

Can I register the day of the race? Yes!  Day-of-race registration is 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. at the Healthy Parks, Healthy You Registration Booth near the start line. The cost is $20 for participants 13 and older.

Can I walk?  Yes! Walkers are welcome.  We ask that you start closer to the back of the line to allow runners to make their best time. No dogs or bikes are allowed on the run course during race time.

CONCERT
Enjoy invigorating sounds from local Seattle artists.  The music is for the entire family and sure to bring smiles to everyone's faces.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We need volunteers to help organize the Healthy Parks, Healthy You Event and Fun Runs.  If you want to give something back to the health and fitness community, to support a friend or family member, or simply to enjoy the park, come join our volunteer family.

Volunteers are needed to help with the following:

  • Pre-event setup
  • Refreshment booth
  • First aid stations
  • Water stations
  • Timing chip removal
  • Cheer squad
  • Cleanup
