Northgate Community Center Rainwater Havesting System (The Vault)

Information: 206-38N-GATE | (206) 386-4283
Address: 10510 5th Ave. NE, Seattle WA 98125

It rains an awful lot in Seattle, doesn't it?

What if we did
something good with all that water?

Presenting...

The Northgate Community Center Rainwater Havesting System!

That's quite a mouthful, so let's just call it "The Vault".

The Vault fills with rainwater.

It has a capacity of 148,000 gallons - about the same size as a public swimming pool.

We can water the park all summer long!

The Vault also helps protect Thornton Creek.

The buildings are like umbrellas and the ground is like a sponge.

The Vault is like an extra huge sponge!

The Vault feeds
the proper amount of
water into the creek
...

...and the fish are happy!
