SEATTLE – The Mayor’s Council on African American Elders (MCAAE) will host A Toast to Fatherhood, in honor of African American fathers, on Sunday, June 9, 2013. The event will be held at “The Central” (formerly the Central Area Senior Center) located at 500 30th Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98122.
A Toast to Fatherhood will pay special tribute to 50 elder African American fathers, in recognition of the vital roles they have played in their families’ lives, and in Seattle’s African American community. The event will feature a catered meal and the screening of the video "Let's Talk About It" from the Center for Multi-Cultural Health. A representative from King County Elections will be present to assist with voter registration, name changes, and address updates.
