Normal solid waste collections for Memorial Day
Regular pickup schedule in effect for Monday, May 26

SEATTLE—Seattle garbage, food and yard waste and recycling collections will be on normal schedule for Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) customers should place their containers out for collection by 7 a.m. to ensure collection.

Customers can report a Monday missed garbage, yard waste or recycling collection after 8 a.m. on Tuesday by calling (206) 684-3000 or by visiting SPU’s website.

The City of Seattle’s South Transfer Station is open extended hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. The South Transfer Station is at 130 South Kenyon Street in South Park. View directions, station hours and traffic cams.

Seattle Public Utilities can also pick up your bulky items—old furniture, mattresses, appliances and the like. The cost is $30 per item, $38 for items containing CFCs, such as refrigerators. Call (206) 684-3000 to arrange a bulky item collection.
