SEATTLE - Seattle City Light customers have been Cookin' with Kilowatts this summer to discover and share delicious meals that don't require a lot of electricity to prepare.
They've earned their chef's hats with recipes like steamed salmon in banana leaf, casino-style scallops and yam noodles with miso mustard sauce. Now it's time to find out which energy efficient cooks take the cake - and PCC Natural Markets gift cards worth up to $250.
Reporters and photographers are invited to the Cookin' with Kilowatts taste-off, Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at South Seattle Community College. Winners will be selected at the event.
