Public hearing on Area Plan on Aging objectives, funding

DATE: Monday, August 5, 2013

TIME: 10 a.m.–12 noon

PLACE: Bellevue City Hall, 450 110th Avenue NE, Bellevue

The Aging and Disability Services (ADS) Advisory Council has scheduled a hearing on draft revisions to the 2012–2015 Area Plan on Aging (for 2014 and 2015) and draft recommendations for the 2014 discretionary reductions. Aging services network providers and community elders are encouraged to attend. The mission of the Seattle-King County Advisory Council for Aging & Disability Services is to identify the needs of older people and adults with disabilities in our community; advise on services to meet these needs; and advocate for local, state and national programs that promote quality of life for these populations. Aging and Disability Services—a unit of the Seattle Human Services Department—is designated by the State of Washington as the Area Agency on Aging for King County.
