It's a "Pair Affair" for Seattle Animal Shelter's cats, kittens and critters
Adopt two cats, kittens or critters for the price of one
The Seattle Animal Shelter is overflowing with cute cats, adorable kittens and precious critters ready for adoption. To entice prospective owners, a pair of animals can be adopted for the price of one through Aug. 11. The offer is made possible by a grant from the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation.
With this special offer, adoption fees for cats, critters and kittens are “two for the price of one” (plus licenses, if applicable), a savings of up to $145. Regular adoption fees are available online at http://www.seattle.gov/animalshelter/adoption-fees.htm. License fees are required for Seattle residents and are $27 per cat. No licenses required for most critters.
What is a critter, you may ask? The shelter has rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, snakes, rats, hamsters, birds and turtles all available for adoption. These animals make excellent pets, and volunteer small animal experts will be on hand throughout the week to answer your questions and to provide information about each animal’s characteristics and needs, demonstrate basic care and handling skills, and answer questions.
These discounts apply to cats, critters and kittens in the shelter, at Saturday’s Woofstock-Tacoma event, at the Petco-Interbay and in foster care.
“We are bulging at the seams here at the shelter, and are really desperate to find loving homes for many of our animals to make space for others in need,” says Don Jordan, Seattle Animal Shelter Director. “We especially want to get our adult cats and critters, which are often overlooked this time of year, into loving forever homes.”
The Seattle Animal Shelter is open Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. for adoptions. It is located at 2061 - 15th Ave. W. The phone number is (206) 386-7387. Animals available for adoption can be viewed online at http://www.seattleanimalshelter.org.
