Power restored in Greenwood, Green Lake neighborhoods

Seattle — Power has been fully restored following an outage caused by a car hitting a power pole. Initially 4,095 customers were affected about 12:30 this afternoon. The outage happened in the Green Lake and Greenwood neighborhoods.

The original boundaries were, on the north, 88th St; to the west, Aurora Ave N.; the east, 8th Ave NE; and on the south, NE 53rd St. Information about outages is also available online from Seattle City Light’s system status map at www.seattle.gov/light/sysstat.

Seattle City Light is the 10th largest public electric utility in the United States. It has some of the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents. City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
