A database including records from
the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site (Fairsted) in
Brookline, MA. and the Olmsted Associates Collection at the Library
of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Much of the material at both collections has been entered but
the database is not yet complete and data entry continues:
Records from the Fairsted Collection
include:
- > 50,000 plans and drawings
- lithographs from ~280 Olmsted
projects
- ~2,300 albums of photographs
Records from the Library of Congress
include:
- Series A: ~33,000 letters from
the period 1884-1899
- Series B: correspondence from
1858-1950, filed by job number
- not yet available- the records
of Fredrick Law Olmsted, Sr., 1858-1895
