Job Training

OED believes that the creation of a vibrant, balanced, and diversified economy should benefit individuals across all income levels and strives to facilitate access to economic opportunities for all of Seattle's residents. To achieve this, we partner with both the Seattle Jobs Initiative and the Seattle-King County Workforce Development Council.

• The Seattle Jobs Initiative (SJI) links community-based organizations, community colleges, and employers in a public/private partnership to recruit, train, place and retain low-income residents in living wage jobs.
• The Seattle-King County Workforce Development Council (WDC) facilitates job placement and training programs that equip adults with the skills and resources they need to attain living wage jobs.
