What’s Happening Now?

Sound Transit has received several responses to their January request for qualifications (RFQ) for their property near the corner of Denny and Broadway. Sound Transit is evaluating those responses to determine if they meet the RFQ’s minimum requirements.

The next steps for the RFQ process include an opportunity for the selected developers to discuss their plans with the community and to solicit public feedback. The Capitol Hill Champion and Sound Transit will co-host this event, which is tentatively scheduled for early June.

Sound Transit will issue a request for proposals in June to invite teams meeting the minimum requirements to prepare site-specific development proposals for the agency’s three sites.

Sound Transit expects to select the final proposals by the end of the year, with the hope construction will start in 2016.

The End Result
