Center City Seattle
Privately Owned Public Spaces (POPS)

Since 1966, Seattle has allowed greater development rights for downtown projects that include spaces open to the public, such as plazas, arcades, atriums, hillclimbs, and green streets.  Granted through the provisions of the Seattle Land Use Code, these are privately owned spaces that are open to the public for their use and enjoyment.   To identify these important features of the Center City environment, the city has developed a logo which is easily identifiable on site.  Note: most but not all sites listed below have these signs at this time.  DPD is working with building owners to have this work completed.
