  • Annual Seattle Night Out/Block Watch event in early August, Atlantic Street and 13 - 14th Avenues South

  • Quarterly litter cleanups and adopt-a-street program

  • Liaison with other groups and block watches

  • Monthly potlucks

  • Toss From The Tower, autumn community potluck and paper-airplane toss, with Beacon Tower SHA Residents Council

  • The Jungle: Habitat Restoration and Trail Development

  • 14th/15th Avenue curb bulb/traffic moderation project

  • Created and distributed neighborhood safety brochure to over 200 households

  • Built the Beacon Bluff P-Patch and Community Garden, located on Massachusetts Street between 14 - 15th Avenues S, funded by Dept. of Neighborhood grants and community donations

  • Provide community forum on social service agencies on NW Beacon Hill

  • Anti-crime campaigns: nuisance properties, prostitution, burglary, gangs

  • Well-attended community forums on Good Neighbor Agreements; PacMed mitigation, Little Saigon/Beacon Hill traffic, Dearborn/Goodwill development, the future of Dr. José Rizal Park and the Jungle

  • Funded and placed Neighborhood Crime Watch signs down to business district

  • Helped site the Dr. José Rizal dog off-leash area on Northwest Beacon Hill

  • Maintain Bayview Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, College Street greenbelt stairways

  • Coordinate neighborhood cleanups with Washington State Dept. of Corrections and City Attorney - Community Court Service Worker program

  • Website and email listserve hosted by the City of Seattle

BAN/Wright Runstad Neighborhood Mitigation

  • Created a residential parking zone (RPZ), paid for 2 years by the Wright Runstad Company

  • Negotiated Quarters 1, southeast PacMed campus, for monthly meetings

  • Donations of equipment and refreshments for April 17 Jungle/Dr. José Rizal Park/ Mountain to Sound Greenway Trail Open House and June 1999 PacMed Mitigation Summit

  • Donated lumber from a large redwood tree felled for garage construction to the Cleveland High School shop program and the boat construction program of Seattle Central Community College

  • Appropriate planting of site for bird habitat

  • Perimeter patrols by security guards to contribute to neighborhood public safety program
