The Office of Arts & Culture 2012 budget allocation is $7,373,233. In 2012, the agency receives funding from three primary sources:
Admission Tax ($5,049,535)
Seventy-five percent of admission-tax revenues supports the department's general operations, funding programs and our efforts to improve services to artists, arts organizations and communities. This fund does not provide direct support to the Public Art program.
Municipal Arts Fund/Public Art ($2,323,698)
One percent of city capital improvement project funds is set aside for the commission, purchase and installation of public artworks
Cumulative Reserve Fund ($187,000)
This separate city fund for capital-improvement projects earmarks an additional $187,000 for maintenance of the city's public art collection
